About
Skydive SWOOP is one of the last remaining Skydiving Clubs in Canada run exclusively by its volunteer members. We have been open since 1979 and do 1000’s of jumps each year. We take great pride in our safety record, and we are the closest dropzone to GTA with amazing views of Lake Ontario, Hamilton, and the GTA. As a non-profit incorporation, the club is administered by an elected ‘Board of Directors’ and many other volunteers who run the entire operation on their own free time. The board and the volunteers do not make any money from the club and are there because they LOVE skydiving and want to share it with as many as they can. Open every weekend, holidays, Friday evenings, and by special appointment mid-week. You can phone us or send an email if you have any questions. We are happy to assist!

Swoop is a great place if your looking for a one day adventure or a lifetime hobby. I enjoyed a tandem skydive experience and that was amazing. The coaching and training are optimal. I found the one day experience so awesome that I have since become a regular skydiver.

Everyone at Swoop was super supportive and friendly. I was a walk-in and I had the best experience of my life. I felt safe and every step was explained before, during and at the end. I opted for the video and photo package and it was soooo worth it! I had such a great experience that I plan to return in the spring to learn how to jump on my own!

The dive itself was an absolute blast! This was the first time my friend and I have tried sky diving. What a thrilling thing to do.
I'd rate the experience better, but the instructor I was paired with for my tandem was inappropriate. He and another worker made a few sexual comments and overall left me feeling quite uncomfortable. It was unprofessional and gross. They were older men.
Most of the staff there that were fantastic! Unfortunately the few that weren't really impacted my experience.
I paid a lot for this, and things like this shouldn't happen to anyone.
If you're a female or anyone honestly, I'd recommend going elsewhere. Sexual harassment and jokes are disgusting and rude. Toronto has a sky dive zone I hear is better and cheaper! But overall, if you're paired with a different instructor maybe you'll have a better experience than I did.

On holidays in Canada, I had decided before leaving Australia that I was going to jump out of a plane on my birthday. I had the 'why' and the 'when' I just needed to decide 'where' ... I chose Skydive Swoop and I'm glad that I did.
I have a fear of heights so this was a huge personal challenge but the guys at Skydive Swoop were very professional, safety concious, yet made the day fun which helped me relax.
My fingers had to be prised off the plane's doorway but once we'd jumped and I realized that I wasn't going to die (lol) I understood why people jump out of perfectly good planes over and over again.
Thanks everyone at Skydive Swoop for the great experience - my vid and pics are awesome and I would not hesitate in tandem skydiving again another day.

Swooooooop! I learned how to skydive here. I did my PFF course in 2012 and haven't looked back! It's a close community of people with safety, comfort and fun times in mind. A lot of drop zones I've been to since are basically tandem business's and don't have students and learning in mind. Swoop is a great community for all types..tandems, students and experienced jumpers.
DO IT.

My daughter was graduating from University and we decided to give her a jump as a gift. A couple of days before her jump her brother decided he wanted to do it with her and booked a jump as well. They both had the time of their lives! Swoop is so professional. They felt completely safe and at ease with the staff. They absolutely had the best time and both came to the ground saying they wanted to go up and do it again immediately. The staff at Skydive Swoop is so friendly and informative and we as parents felt they were both in very good hands. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to skydive to check out Skydive Swoop...you won't regret it!!

HUGE SCAM! They charged my credit card after I cancelled my reservation within the same day that I booked it because SkyDive Ontario informed me that they have stolen their logo and make a profit off scamming people. When seeing that they charged my credit card two months later, I called to ask for a refund and explaination as to why I was being charged, they said I "no-showed" to my appointment which I did not have, they laughed at me on the phone and proceeded to call me a "little dickens". As I was unimpressed with the lack of customer service, they said they would not be able to look into my request until Saturday. When I asked if I could speak to someone higher-up, I was told I was not allowed to contact their higher-ups and they will do it for me. I could not believe that this man and whoever he was laughing with in the background would scam someone like this and not think that I would care. Completely rude, scammers. I will be contacting my bank to recover my money from these frauds.

we got there 11:30am. there was 5 of us plus other skydivers. after your instructor informs you of what to do we had to wait. the planes are small so they had to take up 2 at a time. with the camera man and the guy the hook you up to it is crowded. my turn came at around 4pm. MAN you gotta do this if you are in the area. I was awesome and I felt totally safe. these guys check reckeck recheck and make sure things are very tight.
I would recommend this when you are in the area.

Skydive Swoop was a great place to go for a tandem jump. The instructors were very friendly and everyone was great at making you feel like part of their family. I unfortunately had to wait a few times due to weather so I would recommend booking in the summer when it is more consistent. I wish the free fall could have gone on longer but unfortunately gravity has other plans. I would recommend Skydive Swoop to anyone and most importantly don't wait until its too late in life. You will never regret doing it especially with Skydive Swoop. Ps The video is really cool
