This beach is just about 500-800 metres from the Neil Jetty and can seen as you arrive into Neil island. It is the hub for all watersport activity on Neil island. They have the usual fare of jet Skis, snorkeing, glass bottomed boat ride, banana boat, etc. We did the glass bottom boat ride and saw some very good marine life including some corals. It is a pretty large beach. So while it does get crowded, you can still seek out some spots for you to get some space and peace.
It has a number of eating joints but the hawkers dont come onto the beach itself. Quite a clean and nice beach

This is an excellent long beach with green Waters with coconut and other trees adjacent bro the beach. There is no waves. The water go away around 1km during low tide. At tide times you can walk for 200mr at knee deep water.

In fact, this I liked this beach the best of all the ones that I visited during my Andaman trip. The beach has very fine sands and there are trees all around providing nice greenery and shade. I visited on New Years day and hence there were no water sports. Perhaps, this also added to the calm and serenity of the environment. You can just laze around, sitting under the shade and admire the beauty of the surroundings. Compared to beaches on Havelock, this beach in Neil had less crowd, which in line with my taste.
One peculiar aspect of the beach (which I had never seen anywhere) is that water is very shallow (below your knees) for a very long distance (more than 300 meters or so) into the sea !

There are much more beautiful beaches on Neil. How’ve did you want to do some watersports this is is the beach for you.
There are lots of beach shacks selling gifts and drinks.
It’s not a quiet beach and I preferred others on the island.

This small beach is good for water sports. A whole range of water sports is available at this beach. Right from Jet ski, banana ride, speed boat to snorkelling and scuba diving. Cost of these activities ranges from INR 300 to INR 3000. The beach is small and average. Come here for water sports, don't expect scenic beauty.

The sea is shallow for a long stretch in high tide also. So ideal beach for bathing and for the children who want to enjoy the gentle waves. We did glass bottom boat riding and saw various types of corals and bunches of colourful fishes. The greenery is eye soothing. In sunny weather sea shows variety of shades in colour blue and green. It is also a beautiful place to do water sports like scuba, snorkeling, banana boat riding etc. There is an option of change room too in affordable price. Overall it was a very good beach to spend time.

I will place detail way to reach neil island.
1. Do online booking of private ferry
2. no direct ferry from port Blair
3. PB-havelock, havelock-Neil island
4. reach Neil island, rent a cycle from outside for 100/day only.
5. the island is very small.
6. " take information brochure" from port Blair airport that will really help.
7.stay at cheap rest house as chapt as 150/day, mostly foreigner stays for 10-15 days like this.
8. Have food at a local restaurant like " Pankaj " is good but takes a lot of time as they all mostly all prepare at hand.
9. taking jetty as sort of center, Right-hand side of the jetty is "Lakshmanpur beach" for sunset.
10. on the "Left" aroun4 km there is "Sitapur beach" for sunrise. paddle at around 4 am by 5-5:15 am sun will rise and I promise you would have rarely seen such beauty
11. dont buy sea food here as it is not fixed and they charge 500-700 for small fish , so it seems waste .
12. if travelling to havelock get bannana leaf wrapped fish at the "squid restaurant" for 300 rs but as price is not fixed so negotiate.
13. at neil go for scuba only dont go for snorkelling . try to carry your own snorkel if required.
14. there is fishing classes and tabla classes as well.
15. dont buy plastic water bottles as these bottles doesnt go anywhere but stays on island . ask for RO water from hotels.
16. if still buying go to main market near jetty there is a provision store there 2 liter bottle for only 35rs . rest will charge you 40-70 / 2 liter bottle.
17. people there are really helpfull.
18 most important carry cash , dont wait for ATM as there is only 1 atm functioning the 2nd one is always closed .
andaman bank ATM is available but foreign cards are not accepted , even indian cards have a limit of 5000 per transaction and takes lot of time for withdrawal.

The best place to relax and have fun at Neil Island. From here you can do glass bottom boat rides, snorkelling, diving etc. Neil's water is the best out of all other snorkelling points in andaman. Though jolly buoy has more varieties of fish neil is better due to clarity of water.
Do snorkelling if possible and strike a deal which booking boat rides etc. You can negotiate and people are helpful. I suggest you carry your own snorkelling equipment and they you can snorkel more. Remember the real beauty of Neil island is under water.

As we went via tour and travels, so snorkelling in elephant beach was complimentary in the package. Sea walk would cost 3500rs per person which will be done in elephant beach and sea diving will cost 3500rs per person in havelock. So these prices are fixed. Now they have a menu card for different types of sea diving which u can opt for.

Can I get the name and pictures of scuba diver masters in bharatpur Beach, Neil Island
Written April 5, 2018
Scuba is not available in bharatpur. You can perform other activities like: jet ski, snorkelling, glass boat ride etc.
you don’t need to worry in A&N. it is very safe and tourist friendly.

Neil island has loads of activities like scuba , snokerling , glass boat etc . Also Niel is very small island but you can stay there . It has different beaches with their natural beauty and also the natural Coral gate which is a epic natural place and full of marine life which you can see and observe during low tide. Neil island is just a 1 hour Cruz from Port Blair. Ross and smith island is a very different experience and more of just one natural beauty . These two are different islands separated by a sand track. In low tide you can cross over between the two islands by walking on this sand path. It's and a very picteresque place where you can take the photo graph of these islands separated by a sand path. There are no activities here and you can't stay on these islands. You can only stay at diglipur. diglipur is a 12 hours road drive from port Blair. You need to start at 4am from port Blair as there as specific timings only when the road through the forest is opened. There are other good places to see on way to diglipur but you will need to halt a night at baratang Island for that. You can see lime stone caves and mangrove forests at baratang. But the road trip to Diglipur has its own natural scenic drive which is beautiful . Also you cross the creeks along with ur cars on steamers. That's also an experience you won't get anywhere else in india. Ross and Smith islands dnt have any water activities like scuba and glass boat etc. So both Neil's and Ross and smith have its own beauty . But if you are more into water activities and scuba etc then you can go to Neil's and havelock.

Is it possible to come back to port blair from havelock the same day?
Written November 9, 2017
Hi Bharatpur beach is in Neil island and not in havelock. But I'm answering the question about your same day return to port Blair from havelock. Yes you can return the same day if you take the first ferry from port Blair around 8-9am you will reach havelock by 10:30am. Return ferry from havelock to portblair will be around 2pm to 3pm. But why do you want or return same day? In couple of hours in Havelock the u can't do anything at all. It's a beautiful island and to enjoy something about the island you need bare minimum 1 nights stay in Havelock. Else you will not enjoy the beauty of havelock. Since Bharatpur beach is in Neil Ill also tell you that same day return from neil is not possible as I don't recollect any evening ferry from neil to port Blair . Also most ferries do to have lock and then from there move to neil so by the time u reach neil it is 12noon. So no way you can come back same day to port Blair.
Bharatpur beach again I repeat is in neil island .
