Compared to what we've learned during our tour here with Gris, the Machu Picchu has much less to share, even if it looks amazing. The history behind all the sites we've visited with her and our small group of 4 others left me impressed on...More
We spent one night there while visiting Machupichu. Incredible town. Nice restaurants and shops. Beautiful views. Highly recommended if you want to take a true break from your daily rush. Everyone is nice and plenty of tourists.
The Sacred Valley was better than we expected. Even if we paid twice the price, at the end of the day you get what you pay for as we heard from another couple of our hotel that their tour was very touristy and not comparable...More
We went on a tour with Kaypi, a local group, that gave more insight (we compared with friends who did other tours) into the less commercial and more historical nature of this region.
According to Inca mythology, the valley had a sacred character because the...More
Loved this full-day tour from Cusco to the Sacred Valley. 8am pick-up, we went by bus to visit markets, llama/alpaca farms, and the archeological site of Ollantaytambo. Stopping in Pisac, Urumbamba along the way. A buffet lunch was included which was lovely. Tour ended at...More

I visited the Valle Sagrado twice. The first time was with a tour operator. It started late as they were hopping us from one bus to another. The first stop was a shopping stop- which was unnecessary. What was included were Moray, Maras Salt flats...More
If you like ruins & stories they tell of olden times, of people who lived there, people who built the empires, their houses, their day & nights, their engineering skills, their rituals then this is the place to head to for Incas.

The sacred valley tour I went on with my friends took my breath away! The tour guides are amazing and speak English if you can’t understand Spanish. They take you to markets and fill you in on the rich history at every place you visit!...More

Are you using a tour guide? We used Runa Nan. Fantastic! We spent about 2 hours at ruins in Ollaytantambo and then back through the sacred valley to our retreat center which was 1 1/2 hours from Cusco. I think it is doable but would be a little nag day. Do you need to be in Cusco for a flight that night? If so that would be close. Good luck.
