If you like ruins & stories they tell of olden times, of people who lived there, people who built the empires, their houses, their day & nights, their engineering skills, their rituals then this is the place to head to for Incas.

The sacred valley tour I went on with my friends took my breath away! The tour guides are amazing and speak English if you can’t understand Spanish. They take you to markets and fill you in on the rich history at every place you visit!...More
When entering the Plaza de Armas, you almost automatically bump into the office of Thais Travel. Its convenient location and professional looking travel desk draw a lot of tourists. Us as well. However, if you do not enjoy being herded like cattle, rushed through the...More
Yesterday we went for the day trip to the Sacred Valley. Do not use their services!

We toured the traditional route Chinchero - Moray - Ollantaytambo - Urubamba - Pisac with Oscar Guevara from Exclusive Inca Tour. We met Quechua-speaking residents in typical costumes, in Sunday Market and working their fields. We passed through villages, built in colonial times, on ancient...More

Very rarely, when an attraction is as hyped as this, does it deliver upon all expectations - but that is exactly the case with the Sacred Valley - In-fact, it even surpasses them. Aside from Machu Picchu, some of the views and ancient sites within...More

This is a beautiful area. If you're in Cusco I recommend taking a tour to drive through the area. The views are amazing and great for photos. You can also get really nice souvenirs and at a great price.

Are you using a tour guide? We used Runa Nan. Fantastic! We spent about 2 hours at ruins in Ollaytantambo and then back through the sacred valley to our retreat center which was 1 1/2 hours from Cusco. I think it is doable but would be a little nag day. Do you need to be in Cusco for a flight that night? If so that would be close. Good luck.

I booked our MP excursion online (entrance to MP and train travel). We hired Percy Salas as our guide to see the Sacred Valley based on reviews I read about him on Trip Advisor. He picked us up around 9 am and dropped us off around 3-4 pm for two days of sightseeing. During those two days we visited the SV from one end to the other. He was great. I know we could have used taxis between sites, however, he planned out a terrific itinerary and shared his extensive knowledge of the history of the places we visited.
