Great Day trip

We went to Chena hot Springs July 2015. What a fascinating beautiful place. The greenhouses were amazing. The grounds well maintained. Our dip in the hot spring was great. My... read more

My husband and I have stayed here twice and both times we encountered the same issues. The rooms are pretty expensive. They are older and dirty but perfectly functional however they are nothing special and I don't believe worth the price. The building was extremely warm and it was hard to cool down. The room we stayed in had the... More

I would like to provide a quick succinct overview of why I gave this location an overall "1"; however, I have to note that the staff at Chena are all very nice and did their best to help resolve situation and the cooks and kitchen staff deserve a shout out. The food was delicious. Why a "1""... Misleading advertising---The resort... More

We went to Chena Hot Springs based on the recommendation of a tour book and neighbor who lived in Alaska years ago. This is NOT a luxury resort and charges $300 a night for a basic room that was an oven - no AC or fan and even with the window open and it 50 degrees outside, couldn't cool down... More

We went to Chena hot Springs July 2015. What a fascinating beautiful place. The greenhouses were amazing. The grounds well maintained. Our dip in the hot spring was great. My sister says it is even more beautiful in the Winter with the snow on the ground....I'll have to trust her on that one, don't think I'll ever get there in... More

The dinner we had was good, the ice museum was neat and the Hot Springs themselves were pretty cool. What ruined it was the way over the top price we paid for this excursion and the gross locker room, not to mention a less than knowledgeable tour guide. We booked this excursion as the last of our Alaska trip. When... More

wonderful winter get away. I'm sure the hot spring are great in the summer but after visiting in the winter, I'm sold! Best salad I've ever had in the winter too. Produce straight from their year round green house!

Day trip from Fairbanks. Lovely resort with beautiful grounds and authentic mineral hot springs. The Ice Museum is quite touristy but still enjoyable. Interesting tour on sustainable energy. The hot springs are relaxing and pleasant. Bring your own towel to save on rental. The only major drawback was the locker room: cramped, dirty, wet floors, only two and 1/2 benches... More

We stayed in Fairbanks for a family gathering and took a day adventure to Chena Hot Springs. We had heard about Bernie from our nephew, a student at University of Alaska at Fairbanks because he's heard the entrepreneur speak to classes there. My nephew was wildly impressed with the innovator so we had to visit. We loved the site immediately... More

Chena Hot Springs Resort takes you back in time. The rustic looking buildings are decorated perfect for this wilderness resort. The food was good and the salads and vegetables were outstanding. The veggies are grown on the property and have a superior taste. The Hot Springs has a gravel bottom with some cooler water added in places. The indoor pool... More
