About
The main square deserves attention due to its rich history and copious decoration. Its square-shaped plan and arrangement of houses and streets are clearly linked to the medieval foundations of the city.

When you visit this town be prepared to do plenty of walking. To visit the castle you need to be quite fit as it is a long climb but amazing when you get there.
The beauty of the square is it it is a place you can recharge and rest your legs for a while. Surrounded by beautiful buildings which house restaurants, small shops and cafés you can get some food and drink to provide sustenance.
It is beautifully maintained and provides some great photo opportunities. You can also get tourist information there.

Quaint square in the heart of Cesky Krumlov (or maybe it IS the heart; hard to say). Plenty of shops, cafes, eateries...but the buildings themselves are the highlights--not just in the square but in all of Old Town. Definitely worth a wander through/around.

You will inevitably meander over this square at some stage of visiting town. Has some lovely old buildings which have been restored and a pretty central part with some benches to sit down and admire the facades.

This is a smaller more quaint community and is very walking friendly. This square is a scenic portion of that.

Namesti Svornosti - the main square with the TI, ATMs, and taxis - dominates the Old Town and marks the center of the peninsula. Lined with a mix of Renaissance and Baroque homes of burghers (all built on 12th century Gothic foundations), the main square has a grand charm. Locals possessively guard this space. McDonald's tried 3 times to get a spot here but was turned away each time.
The Town Hall (the crenellated white building, on the right) flies both the Czech flag and the town flag, which shows the rose symbol of the Rozmberk family, who ruled the town for 300 years. If you are planning to linger in this city for 2-3 days, that's all restaurants, hotels, and sights are within a few minutes' walk of this square. Today, this is the pretty big square for small town is part of an unprecedented time of peace and prosperity for the Czech people.

Suurounded by several old hotels, restaurants and shops, this square has a typical fountain and plague column. The most impressive building is the town hall which now houses the Torture Museum in its basement. The square is a great place to take pictures.

All towns have a center, typically with a tall statute commemorating a historical figure or event. This town center is the same, surrounded by renovated historical buildings, not really different from other old town centers.
