Ok. So it is another plague column in Europe. A reminder of the suffering of people at that time( people suffer differently today) and the improvements made by science. Don’t look for it, you will see it anyway. Good orientation point.

This is a large column with a fountain around it. Visually pleasant, all towns built these columns to commemorate the Trinity as a tribute the the plagues were over.

Lovely Column with many interesting features. Although it was in the square not many people were taking note of it

Located at the end of town in the square, the Namesti Svornosti, the column commemorates the city surviving the plague of the 17th century. The column is topped by the Virgin Mary and is surrounded by several patron saints for the town including (I think)...More

At the main square - Namesti Svornosti - topped with the statue of the Virgen Mary and some saints. There is a fopuntain around the column.

Many towns in this region have Plague statues and it just became a bit of a focus for me to try and catch as many of them as possible. Interesting to see the different styles that different towns chose for THEIR plague columns.
