Not sure why photos aren't allowed at this museum. It would be a good idea to allow people to share the pics and spread the word about Becherovka. I'm more enthused about the drink after hearing the story. We took a tour with a German group. We were given English audio. Well presented. Had three tastes at the end. KV14... More

Well, this is one of must go place in Karlovy Vary. With 120 czk for one ticket (60 for student) you could taste three different kind of becherovka (one of them just sale in here). And of course Becherovka historical. I highly recommend the lemon and spicy taste :)) (Well I don't like the original taste so much)

It is interesting place to visit, you can hear some facts about Becherovka history and you can taste 3 samples of Becherovka production. We got 1 sample that is not producted. We did not get classic Becherovka to taste which I think is a pity

This was a cool stop and educational for everyone in our group. We jumped right away in a tour with audio headsets. Did a little tasting and learned a lot how this great tasting alcohol was made. A must stop with a nice gift store.

We were visiting family in Karlovy Vary in January and we thought we could go the Jan Becher Museum since we like drinking it. We booked in the morning to go with a Czech group in the afternoon. As my partner can't speak Czech he was given an English audio device. The lady giving the tour was superb! She was... More

Yes, you get a part of its history, but I could live without it, just what you could find on the Internet. Inconvenient upfront planning/booking, and in view of the size of the museum I do not understand why they do not run the tours more frequently. So be aware for upfront reservation if you want to come here.

First of all you will have to wait for the beginning of the excursion. All the excursions are possible only with the guide who speaks just one if the international languages. For example you are Russian but now it's the time for German excursion. In this case you will be given the audioguide. The location is not very comfortable, but... More

It was interesting to find out more about this healthful and tasty liquor. Very comprehensive and they let you taste samples while viewing a film at the closing of the tour. Their new addition 'Ice and Fire' is unique and delicious!
