Meeting a friend for a glass of wine and wanted to try a wine bar that I had never been to but heard nice things. It was a quiet Monday night in March but quickly filled up with locals and some tourists. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the wines they serve. He poured a taste for us... We were introduced to Vinograf on a Taste of Prague tour. A great selection of Czech wines and cheeses and a very warm atmosphere. We liked it so much that we went back after dinner the next night. A great place off the the tourist track...check it out... you won't be disappointed!

We came here on a Taste of Prague tour and tried a selection of different Czech wines accompanied by some tasty local cheeses. All were delicious. The setting was comfortable and atmospheric. We really enjoyed everything we tried here.

Wow, I am so glad we stumbled across this place... especially as it was only a few minutes walk from our hotel! As wine (and cheese!) lovers, my partner and myself decided to stop here on our last night in Prague. Although quiet (we were the only customers but it was 10pm) it was very lovely and had a nice... Tiny establishment hidden away just beside the Mala Strana side of the Charles Bridge. Keen to escape the cold and the crowds we were early at their doors but were allowed in and were the only patrons for a while. The very friendly manager suggested we try various local wines - white and red - which we much enjoyed. They... More

I totally loved this place and could have possibly spent my entire stay there except that I discovered it too late - probably just as well. My friend and I walked in, we were asked what we would like to which I responded 'a very good glass of red wine please' and that was what appeared in front of us.... More

Small place but with great service. Nice way to taste local wine. We had wine by the glass with local cheese and salami. It was a great Sunday night.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
