Do you like to fly?

An amazing museum full of airplanes. Come and make an interesting walk through many halls, where you meet the history of Czech and World airplanes too. And it is free.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and the layout of the displays. They have a nice mix of historical aircraft that played an important role in Czech aviation history. they've done a nice job with explanations in Czech and English at all the displays (but I gotta say why don't people who run museums get a native English speaker... I am regular visitor of this museum, unfortunately, it is opened just from May till October. In 2017 opens 29.4. You can visit the museum very easily by car or public transport, parking places (for free) available. No tickets, entry is free. You can see here the history of flying in the Czech Republic since the beginning. The musem has... More

Free admission, away from the center of Prague, but accessible by metro and bus, has a huge collection of Russian airplanes and helicopters, the staff does not speak English well on the spot, but it's worth checking if you are aviation enthusiast.

It is located on the outskirts of Prague and it was, if i remember well, the very first airport in Prague. Now it still existing airport and military airbase and part of it is a museum. It is free for all. You can see a lot of old airplanes, helicopters and you can also learn a lot about history of... More

Location... Kbely Aviation Museum is located in the North Eastern outskirts of Prague on an airfield still used to this day by Czech transport aircraft. Getting there... The cheapest way to get there from the city centre is with a validated public transport ticket, as there is a bus stop outside. Facilities... The museum has toilets, a refreshments kiosk and... What a fantastic museum located at the existing military Air Force base at Kbely. Beautifully designed, set out & so well kept & maintained. We couldn't believe it was free. There was so much to see with about 275 aircraft on display. My pilot hubby loved this museum so much we went through twice but I also thoroughly enjoyed it... More

Museum hosts significant number of rare aircrafts: Czech-build Me-262 (S-92, they also have two-seater, but seems not on display), Yak-17 (single-seater), Me-109 and Il-28 trainer versions and great number of Czech-built aircrafts. Note, that museum is split in two parts - first one is right near the road/bus stop, for other one you should walk like 10-15 mins through the... More

We visited this place on our way to Germany. Its outside the city center but its very nice. There is about 200 planes and helicopters. But the best thing is that its for free. There is parking space 100 meters from museum. You can find not only machines - there are also some exhibitions about history of flying. In one... More

My wife and I visited The Leteckem Aviation Museum earlier this week. We caught the metro to Letnany on the "C" line and then caught the 269 bus and got off outside the museum. If you are an aviation buff then it's well worth a visit. Aside from the various Migs, soviet built transports and helicopters, are a Swedish airforce... More
