Having searched all the crystal shops for something special we decided to visit Moser in our last hour in Prague. It was like a museum full of exquisite, hand carved, very expensive glassware. I initially worried that it was 'too posh' for us in our holiday shorts but the staff quickly made us feel welcome. The man listened to what... More

We went to the Moser glass factory in Karlovy Vary. Our guide Veronica was very knowledgeable and we had a very interesting visit to see how glass is blown and the process it goes through . They have their own museum and it was interesting to see all the pieces that have been bought by famous people as well as... More

There is a Moser and Moser Crystal. Go to the latter, much better selection. This is the top of the heap in Czech crystal, but is not dishwasher safe and cannot be put in the freezer to chill the glasses. I found a very nice whiskey glass and bought 6-- expensive but a lovely momento. Shipping is expensive, but that... More

Most interesting tour. The tour has two parts: Glass Museum and Factory. The Museum exhibits the history as well as the various glass products of the Moser Glass Factory since its establishment. The Factory tour is something one won't see anywhere else, since it is an active glass factory in which all products are handmade by teams lead by glass... More

We wanted some genuine Czech crystal before we left Prague. Found the Moser gallery in the Cerna Ruze arcade. Amazing shop. Very helpful young man understood that we wanted some thing small that would make it home and also within our price range. They have a tourist section of approx 100-150 Euro pieces. He showed us how to fill out... More

Moser - here you will find the utmost luxury. Exquisite crystal. Art objects. Be prepared to spend.... It is an investment in the exceptional quality and the Moser name. Buying for personal enjoyment or an amazing gift is why I have enjoyed coming back. Or just visit for the museum-like experience. You decide. But expect to be tempted...

This store in New town is just exquisite. The added bonus was that I visited this place after the factory visit at Karlovy Vary so I could appreciate the prices better. But that still does not mean I could afford the better pieces ( each more than a month's wage ). Do visit. And buy a small memento for memory... More

If you like Glass this is a must stop by! Located in the Old Town we visited and walked through this shop with an astonishing selection of Glasses, sculptures etc. It was fascinating to see how over the many Generations the company has evolved. Not a cheap place, but the artistic excellence of the glassware is good value for money.

Throughout Prague (Prahá) there are several Moser galleries. I entered each☺ I adore crystal stemware and chose only to admire the beauty of refracted light. I realize the impracticality of purchasing such expensive crystal, as Florida retirement dining/entertaining is relegated to casual utensils. Last year in Waterford, Ireland, I was tempted, but glad I didn’t purchase anything. I found the... More

Stunning glass pieces, excellent quality, would love to buy but very expensive. I could not afford but loved to see the collection. I would recommend anyone who wishes to appreciate the art, even if you can't afford. They have many venues, there is one near old town square near the astronomical clock.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
