Chosen partly because this is 2 hours and not 3 as most in Prague. Our local guide Dominic was fluent in English with a great sense of humour and entertained us all the way. Came away stimulated by Prague history and a number of local recommendations. No pressure to tip but we were happy to do so. We could have... More

We were told about Prague free tours through some research we did. March is not a busy time apparently but this free tour was given on a Sunday. The tour guide was right where they said they would be. All the research we did on what to see and where to go was completed in two small tours in about... More

The guide makes or breaks any tour and we found one of the best in Zed. We had planned a free tour with another organization a day before based on a brochure we picked up somewhere. We arrived on schedule and started as planned with out any real problem. After 30 minutes into our tour, I was getting a bit... More

What a wonderful day I spent with Tereza, who took us on the tour today. She is so knowledgeable on the history of the country as well as some interesting legends. She included some humour along the way too. Such a worthwhile experience and highly recommend anyone to take the tour. Free doesn't mean inferior to other paid for tours... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
