POZOR: Lame Experience Ahead

I do not doubt that the performers at Hybernia love the arts. Their love, however, is most surely and unrequited one. The theatre was dumpy and hot. The performance of "Romeo... read more

I was a little apprehensive about seeing a performance of Swan Lake in this rather drab theatre without an orchestra pit but my reservations were unfounded. The absence of an orchestra pit meant that we could sit two rows from the dancers. This proximity means that the audience is brought into much closer contact with the performances than would be... This was an awful performance and WAY overpriced. The national theater is where you want to go and will be half the cost. The dancers were amateurs and the theater was old and un kept. The seating was uncomfortable and the theater was hot and stuffy. And no live orchestra! Please don't go. It's a waste of time and money.

I do not doubt that the performers at Hybernia love the arts. Their love, however, is most surely and unrequited one. The theatre was dumpy and hot. The performance of "Romeo and Juliet" was sloppy and uninspired. The music was prerecorded, though this is noted on the webpage. My companion -- perhaps inspired by Juliet -- chose unconsciousness (falling asleep)... More

We read a lot of the reviews before deciding to book tickets, and figured it couldn't be as bad as some were saying. I was so wrong... First things first, the tickets. We bought the "VIP" tickets for €52 each. Don't do it! What a waste of money. The upstairs "main balcony" is where the vip section is. There are... More

During my family holiday there it was one of our trip targets to attend ballet there .. we enjoyed Swan Lake ballet .. It was the only theatre to see without air condition like most of the restaurants and hotels in Prague.

Two days in Prague, One of the historical capitals in Europe. Old architecture of buildings are the main theme in Prague. Old Town is a main attraction and in the center of Prague, many churches and synagogues such as this. Many old stunning buildings are around , but their are many shops and restaurants with stunning views.

Having never been the ballet before we did enjoy it, although it was a bit expensive for what it was. Recorded music and no spotlights on the dancers made it hard to see the facial expressions. Certainly not totally polished and totally professional chorus, however the principles were excellent and still much cheaper that say the Russian ballet. We got... More

Really a sham. Just going supports less than mediocrity. No investment on the set, no creativity. Very mediocre .

Hello all I visited this theatre during my visit to Prague . As I was travelling from Vienna to Prague by OBB Rail and my show was in the evening I had to rush down to this place from my hotel Park inn .... I watched SWANN Lake show here ... The time was around 1.30 hours and ticket cost... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
