I was originally scheduled with a different photographer who backed out at the last minute and was not helpful in trying to find a replacement. I found Ivan by happenstance and could not be more pleased! Ivan responded to my emails quickly and was very accommodating with morning and evening tours on different days. As other reviewers have pointed out... More

Although it was only a half day tour, I truly enjoyed your photo tour. Obviously you know the city well and know exactly where and when to find the perfect shots in this beautiful city. Thank you for showing me the unknown and exclusive areas of Prague including the staircase and the library. I also appreciate your taking the time... More

Ivan Navratil was an awesome mentor and guide. Ivan knows Prague very well and was able to take us to unique vantage points to shoot the attractions from unusual perspectives. Ivan is incredibly patient and supportive as a teacher. He is the consummate professional. His tour is a once in a life time experience. Užívat si!

I received this photo tour as a birthday gift from my wife and wasn't to sure what to expect, Ivan turned up at our hotel early (we were still eating breakfast) but he said there was no rush. He advised myself on what camera gear to bring so I ended up leaving a few lenses and my tripod behind which... More

I had a great night out with Ivan, (and some spectacular shots from the tour). He's got a great photographer's eye, and a very good guide to a spectacular city. A can't miss is the subway station in Lesser Town, and the castle at night. Thanks Ivan!

Ivan was a spectacular guide and not only led me to places I never would have found on my own, but also guided and challenged my photography skills. Highly recommend this!

We were greeted promptly at our hotel by Ivan. Once he checked we had covered basic essentials - spare batteries, memory cards, camera - he discussed lens options and (I think) through our answers made a judgement about our level of photographic ability. Mobility was a problem and this he addressed without a (visible) blink. We took a tram upto... More

I have taken Randy Harris's tours in Paris. I was equally treated to a great, detailed photo tour to my specifications. Even though I was the only person signed up... the tour went on. Ivan Navratil was the professional photographer that led me on my personalized photo tour. Ivan is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Ivan arrived to my Hotel early.... More

I can't say enough about how wonderful my day was with Ivan. He taught me so much in our brief time. People ask what I bright back from our trip and I always say, the very best photos! Nothing compares to the treasures I have and to top that how much I learned in order to improve my photography! You... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
