Reasonably good "Ultimate tour"

Good to have a local guided tour in a short visit and experience the must-see. But honestly I cannot say I fully understand the guide, whose English came with strong accent. The... read more

We did the Ultimate Tour which takes you all through Prague. I would have preferred to go inside rather than going outside of sites or only going into the free ones, but this tour does cram a lot in one day, so I understand it is mostly for efficiency's sake. Blanka is personable and funny and warm and patient -... More

Awesome City tour! Very informative. Helga was very knowledgeable and passionate about her city and the history! Worth every penny (Kronos). The tour included a couple of beer/wines (Lunch and the Riverboat segment!) Clocked about 7 kms by foot so be ready. Nothing too hilly or strenuous, but be aware this is mostly a WALKING TOUR! Big shout out to... More

Blanka's 13 years of experience leading guided tours clearly shone through during this tour. Her depth of knowledge and dry sense of humour made this tour a memorable one for us. There is literally alot of ground covered so be prepared for walking++. This tour is very varied, so you will never get bored. Blanka goes out of her way... More

We took the "Prague by foot and boat" tour and were completely disappointed. The guide stopped at a couple of places and said very little about them. Then we went on a ride with a boat and had the complementary drink. Basically, what you get for ~23€ (600 Kč) per person (!) is an expensive boat ride with a small... More

We booked through Expedia and had to go to a small office in Wenceslas square to get our tour tickets. We then met Blanka, our guide, by the statue of Prince Wenceslas. We had a lovely day in her company and she was very knowledgeable about architecture and history. She had many amusing and risqué stories about Prague history and... More

I hope you speak English, because the English language tour guide, Blanka, has to be the best city guide. We've had several tours of the city, not one guide has come close to the depth and breadth of knowledge or experience displayed by her. If you have questions about anything, she will be brutally honest. If she doesn't know the... More

We took this tour in May. Very interesting and fairly long. Just over 6 hrs. Walking tour, boat trip, lunch and tram ride to the castle. All excellent. The lunch was pretty basic but good. Our tour guide however, was the star. Blanca. Hope I spelt her name correctly. Extremely knowledgeable, great sense of humour and very entertaining. Well worth... More

After reading mostly negative comments about this tour my partner and I were reluctant about going but we decided to take the risk. Fortunately the tour was a lot better than we had expected and was a great day out. Nina was our tour guide, she is a native and has been working as a guide for over 25 years... More

Before I get started may I temper all comments by saying that we booked this tour on the basis of a very slick brochure and the resulting disappointment is mostly our own fault. A few minutes on TripAdvisor would have saved us. This tour is ultimate in name only. It may be no different to the 6 hour tour offered... More

Good to have a local guided tour in a short visit and experience the must-see. But honestly I cannot say I fully understand the guide, whose English came with strong accent. The couple tourists from US shared my sense. The lunch was disappointing but one should not bear much expectation about the food from such a tour. Just want to... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
