This old bridge is a very important sight in Prague. You pass it on the way from the hostotic center to the castle on the hill. There it's also heavly obercrowded with both, tourists and pickpockets, of whom you should always beware over there.

We visited Prague during the winter, in the biting cold, but we were still amazed at how many visitors the Charles bridge had through the day. We were recommended to visit the bridge after 7pm and though it was much less crowded than during daylight, it was by no means empty. Soak in the history at the bridge along with... More

Interestingly, we used Charles Bridge mostly for crossing the river to get from one part of town to another. That being said, it is a beautiful bridge with consistently heavy foot traffic. There are some vendors and nice views of the city, but in the end, it's a bridge to cross.

We walked back and forth across the bridge a couple of times. It was very crowded but there was plenty of room along the sides to take in the views and people watch. Lots of statues along the bridge to view. We bought a painting from one of the vendors that we passed by to bring home as a memory... More

There is a shiny dog to pet - he is a good boy. On the old town side of the bridge is an archway you can climb up and meet a grumpy man trapped in a small glass room.

This was part of the free walking tour. It is an absolute must to visit - breathtaking views. The bridge is a walking bridge which enables you to pass from Old Town to Lesser Town. Staying at the Savic hotel really meant that we were really close to such prominent tourist 'MUSTS'.

I went more than once to enjoy this wonderfully old and atmospheric bridge. Lots of art, music adds to the wonderful atmosphere. I made a special effort to go early morning to take some photographs and really enjoyed the peaceful scene.

Beautiful views of the whole city and stunning itself there is also a Charles Bridge museum to the right of the bridge facing west which give good insight as to how it was built and as to how it has been repaired.

I was here many years ago, in summer time but this trip was in winter, and there was snow on the ground. Not so many traders at this time of year, but still well worth a visit, it looks so nice in the snow.

Not too bad but a bit dirty. Beggars and strange people showing their birds and asking money. Really need to watch out of people around.
