This square and area is always a fun busy area, especially in good weather where there will be plenty of bubbles, toys, flowers and other sellers. Great area for shops.

One of the main squares in old town. Not impressive but interesting. There was Easter market with local handmade products. This square is also a point of approaching old city with public transport.

Nothing outstanding here, but everything together makes it a good place to wander and explore. Take a coffee and cake break and enjoy. Lovely on a sunny day!

Our hotel was on this square which was full of life day and night with the nice mix of high end and low end shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Lots of public transport also goes through the square

Great place for pedestrian shopping and trying street food. Sipping draft beer under warm April sun while trying some local Prague cuisine was indeed a bliss. Prices are slightly on the higher side

Great pedestrian area for shopping, entertainment and restaurants. A short walk away from Old Town Square, Municipal House and Powder Tower. It is also home to small outdoor market. Lively atmosphere and amazing architecture.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
