The best thing about the city square is that you can almost find everything you need to do or see in Prague from museums, local foods and taking tours in this surprisingly romantic yet creepy city This one has a perfect location of being situated right in the heart of this square and if you get a good look around... The entrance is hard to find, it's between 2 restaurants in Old Town Square. It's not open all the time, check the hours, but it's worth it. It's free, they depend on donations. The front of the church is smashed up against the buildings in front, the only part you see of the bottom front is the entrance portal and... More

This is a free attraction (they ask for a donation to assist with maintenance) and is just off the main old town square. It is so impressive outside that you should certainly nip in. Finding the entrance can be tricky and is not the alley beside the medieval stone tower next door but is a small archway between two restaurants... More

I didn´t enter but from outside this building has the most pretty towers, so "prague". It´s like a fairy tale with a mixture of europe and orient architecture. Really liked it

So many beautiful buildings and bridges in Prague. But the evening that we arrived we headed straight to Old Town to see the outside of this church. It is just magical!

The towers or spires can be seen very a distance away. But the entrance is hard to find. Entrance is gained from the ok'd square in between the restaurant arches and through the alley way. Inside is equally as beautiful. Beware it does close. We had to return at 3pm to get in. But it was well worth the wait.

The gothic architecture of this church is absolutely breathtaking and dominates the centre of Old Town Square. It is like something out of a fairytale and contributes to the romantic view of Prague at night when it is all lit up. The entrance to this church is hard to find! We circled the whole building before eventually realising that the... More

A wonderful gothic style church with yet more gold. A great place to visit in the middle of the old Square.

The architecture of this place is speaking by itself. As I am fascinated by antique buildings, the name "Stare Mesto" (Old Town) was enough to get me there. Please take time to visit, for there are a lot of tourists. You can visit this almost 24 hours a day.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
