Unfortunately now we didn't had any performance to watch. But the building is very impressive from outside too - when we were on an opera performance we loved very much inside too.

Gorgeous inside and out. If you have the opportunity to watch a show here, take it. A classically beautiful theater.

The National Theatre is in my opinion one of the most beautiful buildings in Prague and is one of the most stunning buildings to photograph at night. The sheer scale of this theatre is awesome and as good as it looks from across the River...More

We saw Rusalka on May 30, 2017. Had made reservations way in advance, and they sent me the tickets. Very reasonable. Opera started exactly on time. House was packed. Most people nicely dressed, plus. During two intermissions, we had white wine on lovely balcony overlooking...More

We were in Prague to see Wagner's Lohengrin at the National Theatre (Národní divadlo) and it did not disappoint. The theatre itself is beautiful, traditionally built with a stunning and extravagantly decorated exterior, but not no much to to qualify as "overdressed". We booked two...More

Beautiful buildings in the centre of Prague- unfortunately we weren't able to see a performance but the collection of buildings is interesting and seems to be continually expanding.

We misread some information on performances with subtitles, which are offered in English but only on occasion, and bought tickets to a show performed only in Czech. We decided to go anyway: we'd already bought the tickets, and we wanted to see the theater. The...More

Beautiful Theater, take the time and see an Opera if possible. We saw Madame Butterfly and it was truly outstanding. The theater is stunning.

The National Theater is situated on the right bank of the river Vltava. It is a majestic, historical building. The building has a big roof with statues and gold decorations. It was built using money collected by the Czech people. The theater was burnt and...More
