Try to visit the Smetana Hall, hopefully on occasion of a good concert, very frequent at different days of the week.

My wife and I were here on a Gate1 tour. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed the gardens. Municipal House is a civic building that houses Smetana Hall, a celebrated concert venue, in the center of town, next to the Powder Tower. The Municipal...More

Watched our first ever orchestra, amazing architecture and very well organised. We paid for a balcony seat but some people bought cheap seats at the back and just moved to spare seats at the front when it started. Top tip there for you to save...More

Saw a symphony here on a Saturday Night. This place is like magic. The sound was awesome. Ate downstairs at the beer hall and the food was perfect Czech. I love Prague!!

Go to a performance here if you can - inexpensive tickets for great music. Eat in the fabulous restaurant downstairs - richly colored tile pictures, long wooden trestle tables, hearty Czech food.

This is one of the first building we saw as we walked into Prague on our first day. It's beautifully made inside and out. Very grand. Looks stunning at night even in the rain.

This is my favorite building in the world. Wonderful decoration, built by the country. Be sure to take the tour of the building to see the Mayor's Hall painted by Mucha. Just gorgeous. Go to American Bar in basement and cafe on first floor.

This is a typical concert hall. About 10 rows back, in the middle and you'll be very good indeed!
