A tranquil place in the middle of the city, away from all that hustle and bustle. Nice place for an afternoon walk. Lennon Wall is nearby and modern art is visible here in the park but even without it, this place is good to spend a few hours of the day!

It's a popular place not only for locals, but also for tourists, so choose a bit strange time and day, if you want to enjoy in silence, art and amazing views.

A walk through the park to the bridge was lovely. OK, I'll be the first to admit I do not appreciate some modern art like I should. It's someone's vision, talent and fabrication. I should at least appreciate their effort and artist's time. However, I didn't get the big naked babies with the weird faces. The park was clean, and... More

This is a nice park to stroll in next to the river and to get views of the Charles Bridge. There is a modern Art museum in the park that has some art visible from the park, like Crawling Babies, which is interesting. Benches for sitting and open areas for play.

A little difficult to find, but definitely worth the trip. The seafood is great, and the views of river can't be beat. The atmosphere is a little dated, but overall it's a great place!

Kampa park is a peaceful relaxation after the hussel of the Charles Bridge between the many tourists. Park is nice and quiet with some restaurants at the border of the Moldau and a beautiful view at the city on the other side. Nice walk between 2 bridges without any harassment of people.

I live nearby and well, I love this place. They redid the parka few years ago and are now are actively managing it which means no homeless people sleeping under the bride and a very safe and clean environment. In the summer they have a summer kino and for those of us who live here (and the many visitors) it... More

Lovely little Venice in the heart of Prague, spent the afternoon walking around this quaint park/village with all the love locks on the bridges. Saw the John Lennon wall and had beautiful dinner in the John Lennon Bar with the wonderful staff and great atmosphere.

Walking off of the Charles bridge and the crowds, this is a peaceful and romantic area. On our visit, there was a market and musicians which made for a peaceful and relaxing change. Nice restaurant by the water wheel with misters to cool the air. Must Visit!

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
