Stopped for lunch and a beer. Great atmosphere. You may need to share a table but it wasn't a problem for us. It is actually nice. Beer is excellent ! Food was very good too. Goose liver was a bit overcooked to our opinion but it was very tasty. The ribs were perfectly done. Some reviews I read complained about... More

If you visit Prague you must visit this monastery!! Step back in time and be amazed at this treasure. When finished touring go across the street to restaurant and have a brew made by the Monks! View from area best in city!!

Wonderful view, the farmers plate app was good. Snitzel was good, burger was ok, pork knuckle was superb. Beer was good as always!

The restaurant had the best beer and goulash I had while in Prague. The view from outside the restaurant was amazing too. I wish I went more than once!

Stopped off here whilst we were on the ILike EBikes tour. The food in the picture cost 70kc (£2.20) and their own beer which they only brew and sell on site cost 40kc (1.26) for a small. Would recommend!

Best Beer! They had different varieties and I went for a semi dark and wasn't disappointed. Best food! I had a roasted pork knuckle. It was huge but it was so good that I ate everything hahaha Pricey but I'll go back anytime :-)

A very authentic place with exelent beer and local food. Big table you can share with others and it adds to the fun. We had a goulash soop and a goolash with dumplings Try it.

Too far out of the way, especially on a cold day! You leave the castle area and walk through a very touristy, bus filled, crowd clogged area to get here. Hint: if you do decide to go, veer to the left when you first enter the monastery area. We did not find this to be especially good. Being from the... More

One of the most amazing places in Prague. Look for a Strahov Monastic Brewery & enjoy it. You can find: 1) restaurant; 2) pub (always fulfilled); ------------ Photo from the restaurant.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
