Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

This is a small shop selling very dry overpriced gingerbread cookies. There are all types of cute looking shapes and icing’s but the cookies themselves are bad. I love gingerbread so much and I was soooo disappointed. Not a museum and not worth the $$

Very nice place that sells exclusively gingerbread biscuits. Too bad it's very expensive and they make a mistake at the checkout... check before paying. I rechecked the cost of the products I had purchased and only after realizing that I had paid 200 crowns more did I go back to the checkout.

This small place is cute but not a museum. Unfortunately the gingerbread for sale looks way better than it tastes. The gingerbread men were ridiculously dry and no way worth buying. I had high hopes as I LOVE gingerbread but I was very disappointed.

Unfortunately underwhelming. Exceptionally busy. Ridiculous line. Too many customers for shop to handle with one clerk. Gingerbread was less than average. Expecting to see a village made of gingerbread houses none. Very sad not worth the 45 minute walk.

If you like gingerbread cookies this is the place for you, they are not only delicious but a piece of art. They have all kinds of sizes, shapes and decorations and they can also be used as a souvenir from Prague.

You can't miss it on the way down from the Castle to Mala Strana! Not a museum but an incredible shop full of gingerbread biscuits in all sorts of shapes and decorations. You can even dip your gingerbread man in the chocolate fountain ...delicious :)

I was excited to buy a gingerbread man cookie. I approached the cashier who was adding some piping to a cookie. My cookie came to 30 korunas (£1) and I only had a 100 koruna (£3) note. After I apologised for not having exact change, the cashier threw down her piping bag and yelled at me, 'now I have to go to the back of the store to find you change!!!'. Needless to say, I left the cookie with her and told her to forget about it.

I sought this 'museum' out, only to find a small shop where you can buy gingerbread cookies in various shapes and sizes and a member of staff who was completely uninterested in assisting me or answering any questions. So go and buy gingerbread cookies in novelty shapes and colours, but don't expect anything else.

What a lovely little shop in a beautiful part of town! And, like a hidden Easter egg or bonus, right to the left of the shop is an ATM with the most excellent exchange rate we found anywhere in Prague. We were "forced" to come back daily and purchase cookies:) The museum has the feel of stepping into a favorite grandmother's home, shabby chic with doilies. The cookies are bright and gorgeous, almost making you skip eating them but not quite! They're way too delicious to forgo! In addition, there were lovely wool roving angels and fairies for purchase as well as tea drinking essentials and other kitchen goods. I must admit to buying a large bag of decorated cookies to take home on the place and having eaten more than my share before I landed! The kids loved them and boy to they ever compliment a cup of coffee or tea. In my opinion it's a delightful little place that you must visit on your trip!

We popped in on our way back down from Prague Castle. As many others have noted, the so-called is a shop selling many different gingerbread designs - all rather expensive. We bought a few to take back home but they weren't at all well packed and we had to find out own box to pack them in for the flight back to the UK. Rather disappointing, although they did have an amazing choice of gingerbread/cookie cutters which I couldn't resist.
