Sat down for a rest here on the way back to hotel after doing the castle tour on a Monday afternoon. Nice big open space with lots of seating great cover from the Sun. The menu is quite small and we were a little disappointed that they didn't serve Czech style sausages to go with our beers. They didn't take card which is only a minir inconvenience as there is a bank mschine close by. Beer was served in plastic cups, which automatically rates them down by one star. Beer should only be served in glass IMHO. The food was served no more than 3 minutes after being ordered. Including the chicken. While I applaud the efficiency, the quality has to be questioned. We moved swiftly onward...

This is a very pleasant area to relax with a cool beer on a hot day.
There are nice views although the overgrown trees spoil this a little. Beer prices are reasonable although be aware they do not accept cards. I'm not sure if there is an ATM nearby, if not you could have a long walk with a disappointing conclusion!

So fun! Went with a group of ten (10!) friends and we had a great time. Highly recommend Prague free walking tours of Old Town and the Castle. Guides were great and only 2.5 hours so you still have most of your day to explore. Pilsners are great but seemed to be cheapest in Lesser Town or Old Town away from the square. Letna park is great for walking. Dva Khouti had the best tasting beers.

Letná Hill is right on the other side of the river from the Old Town, you can combine on the way from/to the Prague Castle. Relaxing atmosphere. You just sit down in a beer garden and relax with local people.

We were looking for a beer garden with a playground to entertain our kids, and my Internet searched led to Letna's. The setting is great: the beer garden sits under a canopy of trees, and the views of Prague are phenomenal! Everyone should come here just to experience the views. There is a selection of beers, wine, and liquor.
The play area is geared for much younger children, and primarily consists of several whimsical climbing structures. My 4 year old was entertained but my 9 year old became bored after a short while.
Downsides of this beer garden:
Limited food choices consisting mostly of fries, fried mozzarella sticks, and chips (we were hoping to eat diner here)
The beer and food vendors only accept

We found our way up to Letna Beer Garden on our last day. The walk there was incredible and well worth the time and effort. You can make it a bit easier by grabbing a Lime (electric scooter) by the water and take it over the bridge and up the hills.
Once up at the Letna you will find many tables, friendly people and GREAT food. We played some cards and just enjoyed the atmosphere over some beer.
Bring cash - although there is a machine by the bathrooms. If you like chess - head a little west on the path and you will find another beer garden with a playground and numerous chess boards (cash only).

Letna is a refreshing place to relax with friends over a beer and enjoy what is possibly the best view of Prague. Its an easy walk from Prague Castle, through a lovely tree-filled park.

Don't get caught in expensive tourist traps in the square on a nice day! This is the perfect beer garden. If walking from Prague 1 it is a steep hill but totally worth it. Spectacular views, cheap great beer and food. Wait times can be a little long but relax and enjoy.

We had the Letna Park Beer Garden on our list of must-do's and got one afternoon where it was not raining and made the walk over. Unfortunately it was still a bit chilly but was warm enough to grab a half litre and sit outside. You can imagine what a great place this would be when filled with people if the weather had permitted but we enjoyed nonetheless.
The walk over was fantastic and exhilerating but note that if you struggle with walking, uphill or downhill walks in particular, and/or aren't in shape, would be best to uber over so that you can still enjoy this park, a half litre (or more) and a different view of the city of Prague!

Although it was a long walk from Prague castle, this beer garden offer affordable beer and a nice view of Prague.

If you take the #6 it will be about a ten minute walk uphill. Maybe the #6 continued on up the hill but not sure. We got off at the first stop after crossing the river. Just walk uphill in any direction and you will find it.
