You can see the real items and reconstructed rooms and scenes from XVIII living in Gdansk. Sometimes there are additional exhibitions organized as well. Must see in Gdansk.

Sometimes you would like to understand the way people lived earlier: luxury, housekeeping, servants and everything. This the right place to understand how they organized their living space!

not a big museum but beautifully decorated and interesting history - think you need to be interested in how people lived and the styles of interior design - costs about £2 to visit and only takes about 45 mins maximum, has cloakroom and toilet Wikipedia...More

It took us 10 min to go around the whole house. The whole top floor is dedicated to different types of windows which we found boring. Not a lot to see there. The tickets were only 10 zloty each which is less then 2£ but...More

This beautiful old house museum is located on the main street of the old town. Definately worth a visit, but not if you have difficulties climing steps. Allow yourself an hour of a bit more. Quite beautiful but not totally amazing.

We came into this house on our private tour. Didn't pay to go in but in the reception there is a model of the house which shows how deep the house is, you can also see the large staircase and some internal decoration. Very interesting.

This is a peek into the lives of the old time wealthy Gdansk Hansa merchants. The heating systems and walls and rooms in general are superbly decorated. Worth a visit if you like abundance in art.

We were not told by the staff that half of the museum would be close. No one was able to communicate in English. We paid the ticket for 2 rooms. It was very disappointing

This restored Hanseatic townhouse is a delightful glimpse into life at the height of the city's prosperity. The wooden staircase is a thing of beauty on its own. I loved the murals in the rooms and the wallpaper was outstanding. The one front room had...More
