The central core of Gdansk was literally obliterated in the Second World War. The restoration has been magnificent. It's a pleasure to wander around and view the sights.

Didn't do that journey, but used taxis a bit. Get the driver to give you a price and do it that way. There is a lot of traffic in the whole area and construction sites, so it all takes a while. Well worth it though!
