An old light house also kept for navigation time keeping. The ball on the top of the light house goes is raised to the top exactly at 12, 2, 4 & 6 hours. Some 100 steps to the top and gives quite good views of...More

We took the tram to brezno and then walked along the beach and around to the lighthouse and then opposite the old fort, about 5 miles in all. Nice walk around a real part of Gdańsk

Standing along side Motlawa, very interesting old building. This is where the ferries enter Gdansk. Although a little difficult to locate, It's worth a visit.

We planned a visit by car to the Lighthouse placed 10km far from Gdansk city centre. We were there in 15minutes but I didn’t see any possible transportation apart from Uber or a more expensive taxi service. We were lucky because the place was closed...More

If you like lighthouses and history, then this is a cool spot. With GPS it's easy to find, and it's close to other historical locations. Just across the way is the monument to WW2. For 10zł a person you can go to the top. For...More

I'm a light-house buff and this one is important from a historical point of vue (re: start of WWII) but there isn't much to see and do and it's quite a schlep from downtown Gdandsk

We visited as part of a circular cycling route. Glad we came across it but would have been disappointed if had made a special trip. Its not expensive (by UK standards) but time you've paid the entrance for a family of 5 its not good...More

Our Polish guide made this apparently unprepossessing lighthouse a worthwhile visit. Apparently the first shots of WW2 were fired from this building and there is a memorial to those who defended the peninsular on the opposite bank. The small Polish garrison on Westerplatte held off...More

See it from the river trip and save yourselves the hassle of going - on wrong side of the river from the Westerplast and miles away from the city. It looks nice but I fear it would struggle to entertain for more than 5 mins...More

Visiting this lighthouse was one of our must's in Gdansk as it belongs to one of most important places of Polish history. Building is in very good condition and there are a lot information panels, where you can read about its history. But I don't...More

No, This lighthouse is quite far off in a secluded place. Usually bus tours take you to the place. There is a very small shop within the light house selling some souvenirs.
