Very pretty Orthodox Church in center of Bialowieza

Placed just by the main park in Bialowieza (Park of Car) it is definitely worth seeing once you staying in the village. It is very peaceful place where you can seat and rest.

...but was not once open between Monday and Saturday - it seems that to see the unique altar (?) you need to join the community on their Sunday visit of the church!

One of the many Orthodox churches in the region. Heavenly gates made of Chinese mosaic. Very interesting interior. Because the churches do not apply in musical instruments particular importance are the choirs. Particularly impressive is heard in the church choir Bialowieza. The evening concert is simply a phenomenon.

St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Orthodox Church ,one of the few remaining buildings of the Russian Imperial this church was where the Tsar and his family attended services during their visits.

Beautiful outside and gorgeous inside. You will have to wait for a service to be able to visit the inside but it is well worth it if you have the time to get there when there is a service. The perimeter fence was being restored when we were there, so it will be even nicer by next summer.

While being in Bialowieza it's a must-see, makes great impression with it's red-coloured bricks and classical shape.
