Copernicus lived here. Wonderful castle and great local museumworks of art and medieval artefacts on view. Reconstructions of meieval village living set out in beautiful museum building.Helpful staff, and great bargain tickets. Autumn will bring less touristy atmosphere and cooler weather but kind of in line with the general weather pattern in Europe. I see less crowds as an advantage - visit museums, castle, the cathedral - less distractions.
