the area has potential but there is nothing there to do also the neighbourhood is not the place to visit especially after dark. There is a water feature and some balancing figures in the air but that's not good enough especially when you have seen and old Market Square in other cities is like in Kraków or Wroclaw

It's worth seeing while you're around the corner visiting old Jewish quarter but to go to Czestochowa just for the purpose of sightseeing the Old Market Square is rather waste of time. Especially that one of the four sides of the square is totally deteriorated and spoiled by disgusting shopping pavilions from the 1970s or 1980s, terrible view really, even spooky... yuk. There are some little restaurants around but they were all closed during our visit so I cannot say if they're any good.

We enjoyed this part of the tour on our way to visit the Black Madonna. The place is very interesting, full of history and you can just taste the Old World charm. There were vendors in the square and although we could not communicate with them, it was very interesting to see all the crafts they were offering. Really a lovely visit.

Small old town with many old conservation buildings rebuilt and maintained by the authorities and private sectors. Quite a number of interesting F&B outlets.
