We had a look around the University ourselves and discovered in Lonely Planet there were short English speaking tours on a Thursday. We booked it for about 10 zloteys and it was fascinating. We saw the original instruments and globe used by Copenicus and some...More

We dropped in whilst having a guided walking tour round Krakow. Very interesting old buildings particularly around the courtyard. I maybe sad but the gargoyles on the ends of the rainwater spouts were novel. Popular place for tourist so busy when we visited.

Figuring out the tour times may be a bit of a challenge, since tours are in different languages, but the tour is well worth it. We chose the shorter tour, in English which was fine. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The university itself is...More

Just visited exterior, to courtyard and surroundings. Elegance of columns and balcony added to ancient buildings. If you have any link with geography at all, do read the information boards outside, detailing how this subject was one of those targeted by the Nazis as dangerous...More

I would also recommend doing the guided tour in English, it was very informative and the cost was minimal - just over £2 (and half price for me as a senior).
