The main square and its surrounding streets offer every kind of entertainment from traditional upmarket polish to burger places. The walk from the square to the castle is littered with bunker bars if you just walk into the alleys and look out for signs.

The main market square in old town is buzzing with activity. Not only do you have the numerous market stalls but also lots of restaurants and bars and not forgetting the lone trumpeter playing every hour on the hour from the 4 windows of the church. (You'll find out why on the free walking tour 😉).

So often main market squares can feel a little cramped. What with so many pretty buildings and many tourists. Krakows main square IS BUSY but... is so large it doesn't feel it. Plenty of pubs and restaurants line the sides which is great. Highly recommend checking it out. Especially if you enjoy people watching.

Really enjoyed the main market square. It was nice to look around the market. Had a lovely hot chocolate in one of the cafes.
