Huge 10-acre square, the largest in any of Europe's medieval cities, features the 16th-century Renaissance Cloth Hall and the splendid 14th-century Gothic Basilica of the Virgin Mary.

The shops and restaurants in the square are reminiscent of the old towns in Europe. There is a lively vibe and is a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

The main market square of Krakow is definitely my favorite place in Poland. Everything about the place gives you this old classic feeling. The architecture of buildings, live instrumental music, and horse carriages are absolutely lovely.

As we wandered the area we cam across many classic and wonderful sights and scenes. Krakow is a must visit for any trip to Eastern Europe.

Loved the square. Huge crowds at all times of the day. Amazing atmosphere with many different things to watch at all times of the day. We always felt very safe as did others based on the amount of young families present.
