The second oldest synagogue in Europe. It was one of the most important synagogues in the city as well as the main religious, social, and organizational center of the Krakow Jewish community. A lot of WWII history: devastated and ransacked by the Germans. Its artwork...More

The old synagogue has been turned into a very attractive museum of the Jewish community. Thoughtful displays including a very interesting one of Koskiusco who was a hero of both the American and polish Revolutions. .

This ticket was included with our ticket for the Schindler Museum. While best suited for those with an interest in the subject, this museum provides a nice overview of Jewish customs in an accessible manner.
