In the center of the main square, Skukiennice was the main meeting point for the commerce of dry goods during 15th century. If you pass trough it from ulica bracka you'll arrive directly in front of the amazing St. Mary's Church. Krakow could be considered one of the best city in Europe!

Nice to walk down once but full of stuff that I had no real interest in buying. It is nice to do but that's it.

The old cloth hall no houses a huge number of small market stalls selling lots of local products including jewellery and clothes. Well worth wandering along it's length. The building itself is beautiful as are the others in and around the central square. A great place to wander round, have a coffee or drink and with loads of restaurants catering... More

When I was first in Krakow over ten years ago the Sukiennice used to be a go to destination for silver jewellery, Amber, wooden toys, knitted local garments, sheepskin products, unusual chess sets etc, all at very good prices. Now most of the stalls have repetitive, inferior products for sale. There are a few that stock quality items however these... More

It's impossible to miss Sukiennice ("Cloth") hall, the large, ornate Renaissance building smack in the middle of Krakow's huge main square. So called because it used to house textile manufacturers and sellers, it now houses stalls selling kitschy but pretty Polish souvenirs, including "traditional" carved and painted wooden boxes, beer tankards, wooden chess sets, and similar. It's a lovely building... More

This was lovely to walk around, especially as all the Christmas Decorations are still up. However for souvenirs it is cheaper to go to the shops on the main road leading off the square. No street performers I think due to the cold and weather.

This is a beautiful and imposing building which is well worth a quick walk around. I only had a brief gander at the wares the various traders were selling and noticed there was plenty of repetition with most of those that caught my eye all selling the same cheap tourist tat that you'd buy, take home and never look at... This is a great location to shop for handmade items. Obviously make sure what you are buying is made in Poland as some of it wasn't. Also make sure the amber has a certificate of authenticity. Great ornaments as well. We didn't find too much polish pottery here and would recommend checking out assortyment shop down the road. Overall though... More

Amazing building in the main square it has all the "LOCAL HAND CRAFTED SOUVENIRS" which are over price and can be bought down the road for half the price but walking threw doesn't cost anything but a few minutes of you time and its worth the time/
