We went to two exhibitions (there are several others): the royal private rooms with 45 minute English guiding (our guide was very caring, informative, we were very satisfied with her), it was very interesting, we learnt a lot, the other was the Leonardo painting, the Lady with an Ermine. It was also good. The only problem was that there was... More

Wawel Royal Castle dominates a hill in Krakow and is a historical symbol in Poland. The castle is now a museum with Armoury, State Rooms, Oriental Art, and royal apartments. Entry into each part requires a separate ticket. We had a guided tour through our tour company, Tauck. The most valuable possession of Wawel Castle is Leonardo da Vinci's painting... More

Just visited the free parts of the castle and looked at the views. What a beautiful place, great architecture, interesting pipe with dragon shaped outlets. Lovely murals on the walls. Not time to view inside but worth seeing as much we did. Really enjoyed the visit, need to come here again.

I would recommend not to go at the weekend as it's very busy, also to get there early as they limit the amount of tickets per day to preserve the castle. The private Royal apartment tour was brilliant you can tell the lady taking the tour enjoyed her job she spoke very good English and was very knowledgable. The state... More

Visited in November when entrance was free, had to get there early as long queues to get in and places are limited. Had five different exhibits to visit including the potrait of Lady with Ermine by Leonardo Da Vinci. The castle is a beautiful place to wander round and is very popular with tourists. Nice cafe serving snacks and drinks,... More

The castle was lovely, and on a cold day with a biting wind it was good to get inside to see the different exhibits. The Cathedral is very ornate and the interactive screen in the Royal Tombs very useful to find out the stories behind the people there. The only downside is the crowd. I get that it is one... More

We were really looking forward to visiting Wawel Castle and it's surrounding estate, however, we had to enjoy it from the outside. We arrived at around 12pm to find that there were no more tickets left for the day (29 November 2016) even though the attraction remained open until around 5pm. It was a day where there was free entry,... More

My biggest complaint about my visit to the Castle is that they need better signs to guide visitors to the ticket office as the one on the way in to the compound is closed. My slightly less major complaint is that the tour groups are not regulated thus making it hard for smaller groups or individuals to get by them... More

The castle is in great condition and we did 3 of the tours avalible here. The state rooms, treasury/armoury and the Lost Wawen tour. All 3 were really good and it was great to see so much in such good condition. It took about 3 hours to do all 3 tours. Would recommend and for anyone who wants to get... More
