I visited Kazimierz twice. Once during a city tour and once during a food tour. Fantastic neighborhood used a lot in the filming of Schindler’s List. I wish I had re-watched the film before visiting Kraków rather than when I got back home.

This old part of the town lies at about 20 minutes walk from the old town square. It is a warren of streets and small squares containing a number of synagogues old cemeteries and restaurants. It retains its traditional architecture and cultural artefacts and settings...More

A very interesting place to visit to explore the history and sights of krakow. Explore the cobble streets and find many bars, shops and restaurants.

Full of history, full of ghosts- I have to say that I found the Jewish district to be quite an uncomfortable place to be.

We enjoyed a Jewish evening with Jewish food and authentic Jewish live folk music, in a Jewish restaurant. It was in the corner of the old town square. I do not remember it’s name, a great night though

Would think best to have a guided tour of this district. There is lots to see but you could possibly miss a lot if you were not with someone to lead you.

We took a small taxi for a 60 minute tour of Kazimierz, the ghetto of Krakow, was very interesting and the tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area helped by a tape explaining what we were looking at, very pretty buildings and churches.

We took a walking tour from the square in old town as there are many tours starting there so easy to find one to suit your times.
