One of the oldest streets in Krakow traverses historic Old Town from Wawel Castle to the Main Market Square. Apartment of Saint/Pope John Paul II is along this street. Lots of Cafes and shops.

It acquired its name, Canon Street, from the large number of Church Canons that resided in grand buildings along it. It was the final segment of the former Royal Route stretching from the city gate to Wawel's Royal Palace. It is a grand route for...More

One of my favourite streets, Kanonicza lies at the foot of Wawel Castle. It houses the apartment which was once occupied by Pope John Paul II, now a museum. Here you can also find the magnificent Hotel Copernicus, one of the most prestigious hotels in...More

Cool area in the Old Town. There you'll find the house where Pope John Paul II had lived, which makes this a very important and meaningful region for the local people.

This street's buildings date from the middle ages. Albeit rebuilt and renovated over the years, they are said to constitute an important grouping of buildings in the city.
