This museum, located in a former monastery, is special mostly because of its collection of paintings. There are some hidden gems by famous Polish artists in the upstairs Polish paintings exhibit, but this exhibit also includes some relatively little known names (Feliks Hanusz, Wladyslaw Czahorski,...More

Good to see all the old painting of people from long ago and to see the old ceilings decorated so beautifully on a par with Michael Angelo.

The entire street of 3 Maja is a good place to walk and take in the sites of old Rzeszow. Lots of shops and cafes in the museum district. Lots of walking but worth the time. Good people watching.

You can see this museum, but it is not obligatory at all. Collecions of Polish medals are pretty nice and from time to time there is quite intersting temporary exhibitions, but mostly is boring. In case of any updates about exhibitions please look http://www.muzeum.rzeszow.pl/wystawy

In the leaflet “Rzeszów Tourist Attractions”, which is supplied by the Tourist Office, this Museum is incidentally mentioned as an appendage of the Holy Cross Church and of the Lyceum school. Actually, I wonder why and how the Holy Cross Church and the Lyceum could...More
