Lodz owns its history to this factory. It is impossible to have a clue of Lodz without visiting this place. Moreover, the surrounding manufactura mall is a pleasant place. There are plenty of other activities you may enjoy, but visiting this museum is a must.

To understand Lodz it's important to know something about its history which is based on the textile industry. This museum gives some good insight's. Wish it were bigger but the admission price is tiny and very good value. Wouldn't recommend for small children, they won't...More

Good idea however only one floor not much to see. I have been leaving in Lodz for over 20 years, but I have to say avoid this museum. I know is just over £1 for entry but is nothing there.

The museum gave an excellent history of how Lodz became the great rival of Manchester in the cotton industry from approx. 1820 till all their major markets collapsed at the end of World War !. Facenating to follow the history up to our time!

A great family attraction, you will learn not just how cotton came from the fields and how it was processed and then turned onto clothes, but also the history of an industry that made some people extremely wealthy in Lodz. A real working historic museum...More

The biggest architectural re-conversion project what I've seen so far. Hotel, cinema, restaurants, shopping mall, open space...

It's surprisingly small, giving a quick overview of how the factory which occupied the current Manufaktura complex fared over time. Somehow one expects more esp. given how big the factory once was.
