The museum is in a nice building. Entrance is very inexpensive and includes headphones. They try to make archaeology interesting to children.

Some good exhibits but left underwhelmed, seemed very academic in its presentation which is no bad thing but when on holiday you don't want to do much thinking. The chain mail to try on is, well, heavy.

We enjoyed this museum, especially our 9 year old daughter. The Egytian part was excellent and also been able to get our hands on the old sword, shield and chainmail if only to realise how had it must of been to fight in those days.

We went into this museum expecting another small, municipal museum like the other museums on and around Stary Rynek, but were pleasantly surprised. There's a ticket desk, doubling as the museum shop, attended by English-speaking staff. There were several interesting temporary exhibitions on the ground...More

We'd just been to Switzerland where I'd been disappointed in the museums. Then here was a small town museum that housed an interesting collection that is put together well.

Right on the corner of Town hall Square the museum exhibition space itself is quite small, but I did kind of get the feeling that I had missed a staircase or room full of wonderful things based on other peoples reviews here. That said I...More
