During my walk along the "Royal Route", I stopped by and took pictures of this monument. It can' be missed due to its prominent location. The building behind this monument did not appear to be open to the public 's visit.

For anyone with a geographical bent this is a must see and it is very well done. For someone who came up with the idea that the sun is the centre of the solar system the planets just about circle about him.

Nice to see Copernicus memorialized in such a prominent place. He is one of the most respected scholars of Poland.

We met a group at the Copernicus Monument and spent a few minutes looking around it. The planets symbolically revolve around him in the middle.
