You can visit Krakow's historic town square severals times over and it will always be different and pleasing. The August Folk Arts Festival is not to be missed, nor is the Christmas market. End the afternoon with a big plate of szarlotka (Polish apple pie) or ice cream (or both!) at one of the many cafes in the Sukiennice.

Beautiful reconstructed square which was built after the Second World War. It's so hard to believe with its chocolate box facades and pastel hews of pinks yellows and oranges. It's worth climbing the tower 5 Pl. each and oxygen starved stairs which gasping bring you out to overlook Warsaw. Enjoy Warsaw it's just beautiful x

I really like the Old Town in Warsaw and this square for me is the jewel in the crown. Partially reconstructed after its destruction in II WW it stands proud of its past and in a hot summer day there are few places better to be

The Castle Square is the square not to be missed while in Warsaw due to its importance (here ae located two key symbols of the city, Sigismund's Column and The Royal Castle). Not having a rectangular shape, but more a triangular one, the square looks quite large and there are many beautiful and colourful buildings, some of them housing restaurants... More

Great meeting spot, and for people watching. For 5zlt you can go up the tower for a view over the old town.

A nice place to chill out before or after walking around the Old Town and also the entrance point for the Royal castle. To get the view in the photo you need to climb the viewing tower for a small fee. Lots of restaurants and bars close by.

It is incredible to stroll in this area and to think back what transpired in the war. This is a beautiful place that at the same time, if you stop and think about it, has a reverential feel to it as well. Definitely worth the time to walk around and visit the many shops in the area.

Great meeting point or landmark for finding each other. Some of the free tour companies start here. Coffee shops, restaurants and souvenirs aren't far from this point.
