Surrounded by the Grand Palace, historical shop houses and remnants of the old city wall, the town square is an ideal place to begin Warsaw old town. Recommended to pay the 6 dollar (local currency) to view the castle square from the top of an...More

The Castle was interesting to visit. Great location and free on the Sunday we were there. Plenty to see around the Castle and great views over the river.

It is an ideal place for gatherings and exploring markets especially in Winter. More than that there is a nice lighting system in the night but no particular attractions there. Very windy and cold square in Warsaw.

Castle Square is a beautiful place to take photos and just enjoy the Polish culture and the amazingly rebuilt Old Town area. It’s a great reminder that even if things go through wars and are destroyed that the effort to rebuild is worth it!

It is a reconstruction, since almost everything was destroyed during the II world war. Said that, is a very well done work and looks quite idyllic.

You cannot come to Warsaw and not explore the historic Old Town, including the picturesque Castle Square. Although it looks as though it has been there for centuries, it was virtually completely razed to the ground during WWII and subsequently, sympathetically reconstructed. Bordered by the...More
