This Market is built of two large, wide open halls that looks like two oriental palaces that were emptied from their internals.

The place where the locals do their daily shopping. An old building and its surroundings, looks old. Nice place to have a look at the daily life in the city. It is not a tourist attraction, but you can find some souvenir or have a...More
I visit Warsaw regularly as my son lives here, and Hala Mirowska is terrific for many reasons, particularly if you have self catering accomodation, or are a bit of a foodie.

We stumbled across the Hala Mirowski while on our Ghetto tour. We walked in the main entrance only to discover that it sure didn’t look like any of the photos posted on TA.
We made a 180 and got the heck out!
If you have a couple of hours to spare it’s always good to explore the local markets and see where the locals shop. The outdoor market was especially good and I was able to buy some juniper berries to take home as I can’t find...More
We went to warsaw the week before Christmas and stayed to a place very close to the market. They had very good quality of cheeses... bread... coffee... chocolates and fantastic smoked fish and sausages!!! I recommend it if you want to buy local fresh products
We love going to the local markets to see fruits, veggies, meats and cheeses everywhere we go. Our favorite part about it is to see the locals out and about doing their local every day chores. We met some really charming people here!

Yes that area of town is lovely and close also to Warsaw Uprising Museum... Can I suggest an english mobile phone ap called Jakodade ( free version or if you are in Warsaw longer, pay a little for better version) on this you can plan public transport and also even buy a ticket, which is terrific if your polish is poor. My son has lived in Warsaw for 6 years now and this ap has changed everything for me. Hala Mirowska also has a supermarket in the middle of one hall as well as all the produce! Feel free to ask me any more questions about Warsaw...Have been there 6 times each time more than 1 month!
