This statue was erected to honour the children of the war. I'd recommend getting a city tour to truly appreciate what these monuments mean.

This superb little statue is a fantastic little tourist attraction that makes you think about the death and destruction that occurred during and after the Warsaw uprising in 1944. The statue history is interesting. It is located near the wall surrounding old town. If you are not looking for it - it is easy to miss.

This statue in the old town has a very moving symbolism. It really brings home the nature if the struggle. You will find it by the old town walls.

when you visit the Old Town and go for a walk along the 'wall' you will come across this little statue - again ability to take pics are good...

Very moving and upsetting part of Warsaw’s history- but definitely worth a visit. It is a particularly moving statue for me because I am half-Jewish and my Grandmother escaped with my father from Germany when he was 8 years old, in 1934.
