We stopped at this attraction during our walking tour to learn about the story of the mermaid and take its picture. This also the right place to take pictures of the fountains and beautiful facades of the buildings surrounding the Market Square.
The little mermaid statue is located in the middle of the main square. You can not miss it. It is very symbolic for the locals and surrounded by serval ancient building and restaurants and shops of souvenirs... it is. A highly touristic area
Had no idea what it meant, made a few photos and then went on to read the whole story behind the statue. Quite interesting. Maybe grab a walking tour in the old town to be more aware of your surroundings and the stories behind.

You can't miss this sweet monument as you explore the Old Town Square. We had read about the legend surrounding her during our visit to the Palace of Science and Culture and it's enchanting, but it's hardly worth going out of your way for.
