Vogel is one of the most beautiful and popular ski resorts in the winter, and the most popular high mountain centre in other seasons. Our slogan “Vogel. Like a Fairy Tale.” is the perfect description of our resort in every season of the year, and we plan to increase our profile with it and give our visitors this fairy-tale feeling. We are determined to seize the opportunities offered by our location in the heart of the Triglav National Park (TNP). Vogel cable car takes you to 1535 metres above sea level throughout the year (except during the maintenance periods). In this way viewpoints high in the mountains are easily accessible and also make an excellent starting point for hikers. You can choose from single or return cable car tickets. The cable car can transfer up to 950 people per hour. The Orlove glave quad chairlift also operates during the summer season (mid-June to end of September) and provides a single or a return ride in the pleasantly refreshing summer climate. It stops at the top of Orlove glave with a paragliding take-off point close by.

Beautiful views of Lake Bohinj with the cable car to the ski slopes. Amazing food at the most obscure of places in the restaurants up in the mountains! amazing wine/beer and French fries.

We took the cable, which runs every half hour, to the ski center. From there, we went walking toward the mountains. The hike was very nice, seeing the contrast between the valley and the chain of mountains. Don't forget to sign the guestbook at the...More

Take the cable car from Bohinj lake and climb to Vogel. Fantastic view on the lake and mountains around. I have been there in autumn, very nice, even Vogel is famous Ski Center. In any time Vogel is fantastic to visit.

Can't say about the skiing but definitely worth riding the cable car if you're in the area for a short ride and beautiful view of the Julian Alps.

It was E19 each for a return cable car trip and lunch in the cafe or nearby mountain hut, which was a choice of soup and apple strudel. (Have the goulash) this was very good value as the prices are quite expensive up there. There...More

This must be a very good place to go for skiing but we went in summer for the view. Unfortunately there was mist and bit of rain hence views were mostly not clear. The ticketing staff told us to try the next day but we...More

Bohinj is any day better in terms of peace and nature than Lake Bled. But to get a complete picture of Bohinj it is essential to take the Vogel Cable car up to the mountain. Its a beautiful view from up there. Even when its...More

We stopped here to check out the ski jump site and found this center. If you are a thrill seeker, you need to stop here. It has an air tunnel that you can "fly" in! We watched a few people try (with the help of...More

The Vogel Ski Center is actually located to the south and below the summit of the Vogel and can be reached by cable car (the steepest in Europe, taking ~4min). From here you can hike either to the summit of the Sija, the Vogel or...More

Our host told us about the ski centre and hiking trails and we decided to visit. We had a great day. The cable car ride is scary as you go up about 9m /s to about 1500 m but it was also exciting. We hiked...More

Hi we are coming over to Slovenia next week and staying in the Bohinj area ...we were intending skiing at Vogel for six days and possibly to KG for the night skiing...the snow looks good! I was wondering if Vogel will be too small for 6 days ? And also if there is a ski pass that covers more than one ski resort. Thanks Kim

Hi - we are thinking about booking a 1 week ski holiday from 25th Feb for our children to learn to ski. Would anyone be able to let me know if this is a good time for snow conditions in Vogel? Also does the lift pass cover the cable car? Thanks!

Hi, I have contacted my friends in Slovenia and basically it should be the high ski season in mid Feb. However due to park restrictions Vogel relies on real snow only, additional snowing is not permitted. Once snow falls... More
