Ljubljana can be quite rainy sometimes that's why visiting museums is always a good idea. This museum is located in the center of Ljubljana and you get quite a lot of information about the history of Ljubljana and Slovenia as well when walking through exhibitions....More

We wandered into the Ljubljana City museum as a way to escape the heat, but it was an excellent experience! Downstairs, they have a cool exhibition on local archaeological finds from the Roman period, while upstairs there is a top-notch exhibition on the industrial history...More

Much like Ljubljana, this museum isn'tthe biggest, but it is charming and offers a lot. Spent a fun couple of hours in it.

If you are looking for a nice museum telling about the history of Ljubljana and Slovenia this is the place to go. When we visited there was an exhibition of the industrial Development in Ljubljana which was very interesting. Don't forget to enjoy the museum...More

We thoroughly enjoyed this museum. It includes many fascinating artifacts dating from Roman times. Everything is well presented and described in English. We highly recommend this museum and consider it a must see attraction.

The large museum has lots of interesting displays on the history of Ljubljana going back to 4500 BC. Ljubljana was a roman city for centuries and it has been a part of 10 different countries over the years. Slovenia has only been independent since 1991...More

If you have time after exploring museum, you can sit in a peaceful area and have a great cup of coffee. They have coffee from all over the world and you can have it prepared in a many different ways (espresso, turkish, cold brew...)
