The port has almost no places to sit and despite the strict parking regulations (you are not allowed to stay in the city for more than 15 minutes, otherwise you have to pay a fee of 6 euros) there are always cars driving around, which creates a hectic and loud atmosphere. Either the city center is completely closed to cars or at least hotel guests are allowed to stay longer so that they can at least leave their luggage free of charge. The current solution excludes tourists and creates an uncomfortable port atmosphere.

A country structured to take money away from tourists .... bad organization. Information 0. You can not enter the village and you have to leave the car 25 minutes walk (for 29 euros per day parking).. there is no alternative. With your luggage you practically need to take the Taxi to go to the hotel. Their beach is an expanse of reinforced concrete. Experience to forget...

Both a working port with small fishing boats and a pleasure port with sailboats and a few yachts. The docks, in places, are crowded with buckets full of fishing nets and some buoys. The smell can be a bit fishy in places – but thanks to the sea breeze and the drying sun, not too intense. I was here for two days and never saw anyone coming back with a catch of the day so I’m not sure just how active this port truly is.
Relaxing stroll, great for watching boats. As an ocean sailor myself, I like reading their interesting names, and seeing which ports/places they are registered from.
I didn’t get to do it but it looks like from here you can take a water taxi to Trieste or Porec. There is a sign with a schedule of the various sailings.
This small, intimate port is a good introduction to the rest of Piran, starting with the Tartini Square.

I felt like I walked into a movie set in an old European scenic ocean-side village. Beautiful sceneries every where you I looked. I've seen movies and seen pictures of Piran but being there takes it to another whole new level of experience. I love, love, love Piran, felt right at home the moment I arrived. Hopefully I can return to experience it again in this lifetime.

This small working Adriatic harbor features pleasure and working boats, benches, tiny lighthouse type lighting devices at the entrance, and a walled and sidewalked promenade along the long area of docks.
This is one of a number of wonderful resting spots in Piran to watch dawn, dusk, and weather and lighting changes over the Adriatic. Others include the Adriatic front and back sudes of Our Lady of Health Church and the walking area along St Grorge's Church, which looks DC own kn yhe city as nd coast.
This free, safe, and open-to-all without fees Harbor area is near Tartini Square and frequented by sailors, tourists, locals, and photographers. Don't miss it or the coastal walk ftom this Harbor to and around Our Lsdy of Health.

It's a narrow road shared by pedestrians and vehicles. Parking is outside the area, and shuttles are frequent.

Piran itself is a small place and so is the port area. As with most places around Piran there is a feel good factor walking around and enjoying the sights. Had an ice cream as we strolled up and down the area..

The port of Piran is a pleasant place to walk close by the sea, along the shore. The harbour is full of various small boats (some recent ones and some older ones), which adds up to the view to make the atmosphere quite relaxing.
Moreover, the port is situated next to several buildings with an interesting architecture (maybe not as great as in Piran’s downtown), and various restaurants and cafes.

This is my second visit to Piran, the first one during the summer, but despite knowing the city and its Port I still found it lovely and charming, with its boats, lighthouse and wonderful view (you can spot Italy on clear days).
Overall a wonderful Port, well-kept and clean.
