Postojna Cave is the best-known cave in the world. It is also the greatest tourist attraction in Slovenia and one of the world's largest karst monuments. A fantastic web of tunnels, passages, galleries and halls, the astonishing diversity of Karst features as well as easy access are certainly the main reasons for such popularity of the cave and a large number of visitors.

This amazing and huge cave beautifully decorated all way long we visited during a rainy autumn day. Tour includes the train ride and walk with guides. Guide is well organised in many different languages. Warm clothing is recommended.

I guess the main attraction of the cave is the train that allows you to visit 1 km of the cave comfortably seated. This is not just an attraction, it's nearly a money industry open every day and where every aspect of the visit is organized (and paid for). Thousands of people come here every day, are divided into groups... More

An amazing lime stone cave with unbelievable formations.the train and the tours are well arranged. I was thrilled to see inside the cave.when you have all the day to day work going on in the surface you get this cave right under your feet 500 feet down below the amazing creation of the nature.

When we saw the price to visit the cave we were surprised and wondered if it would be a good investment or not. It certainly it! We have visited several caves in South America but this one is probably the most impressive. The infra-structure is amazing (you even get inside and outside the cave with a train). The amount of... Saw the caves as part of a half day tour from Ljubljana. What a great experience- the guide in the caves was excellent- so witty and interesting. The caves are gorgeous, and its an easy walk, although quite a steep uphill bit at the start. There are no stairs, only sloped pathways, so is wheelchair and pram accessible. A constant... More

We did a tour to Postojana caves. At first i was not sure whether I wanted to go - I had read that they were very touristy and the idea of a train really sounded cheesy. But i'm so glad we did. It is a very touristy site - but well organised. At the beginning, there are cafes, shops and... More

These are the largest caves in central Europe. I mean really, really big. A lot of the tour was done by train, which was a lot of fun. Then there was about 2 hours of walking that was not too strenuous. I'll be honest, it was all a bit samey by the end. But you can't complain, it's a cave!... More

Amazing cave, probably the most beautiful in Europe. It's really huge and worth of your time and money. First you hop on a train which takes you to starting point of your visit. After that is mostly walking. We were in a small group so we had enough time to take pictures and admire the caves. And to say the... More

This cave is very interesting. It is better to make reservation via web site. Ticket cost about 23 eur and include drive by train, guide in English, Italian, German or Slovenian. If you do not understand any of these languages, you can use audio guide ( 3 eur per person). Tour last about 90 minutes. Parking for a car cost... More
