My claustrophobia wasn’t affected when entering into this amazing maze of caves, the history, the depths, the stalagmites, stalagtites, it was all beyond our expectations and wonderful. The formations over millions of years were simply breathtaking and aside from the small train which transports visitors into...More

The fee is quite big, but it is worth it. There was cold (about 10 °C), damp on tour and windy in 10 minutes train way, so don't forget to take your jackets. We were very surprised how large this cave complex is. The most...More

A substantial tour through some amazing caves. One of those places that leaves you expecting dwarves and dragons to appear at any time. They are very fussy about photography, I always follow the rules about not touching or using a flash, but I did have...More

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. Definitely worth to rent a car and get a road trip around Slovenia. This particular site is less than an hour drive from Ljubljana.

Visitors are organised into language groups before boarding the electric train; the English-speaking group was the largest. Great train ride as it took us into the depth of the cave. Must bring a warm jacket as it gets very chilly. The floor is non-slippery; the...More

These caves are massive and very very beautiful with wonderful stalactite and stalagmite formations and colors. One takes a train from the entrance into the bowels of the earth and then you begin walking. The path has no steps, but does go up and down...More

Visits to both the cave and the castle were very impressive. and thoroughly recommended. However we visited as independent travellers, arriving in Postojna by bus. It is only a 10 minute walk to the cave, but it is then 10 kilometres to the castle. Outside...More

There were a few young children there but the temperature is cool (10 degrees), the end to end train journey and guided walk was a good couple of hours long so probably not a great idea for toddlers.
